Late Bottle Vintage Port 2018
Late Bottle Vintage Port 2018 was produced in the Douro region. It is a port wine, a sweet and intense fortified wine, but with some characteristics that distinguish it from more traditional Vintage Ports.
Unlike Vintage Ports, which are bottled immediately after fermentation and aged in the bottle, Late Bottled Vintages are aged in wooden barrels for between 4 and 6 years. They are then bottled all together, creating a unique blend.

Description
The 2018 Late Bottled Vintage has a complex and rich aromatic profile, with notes of ripe red fruit (blackberries, cherries), sweet spices (cinnamon, cloves), chocolate and a touch of vanilla. On the palate it is soft, velvety and persistent, with a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity.
It can be enjoyed both young, to appreciate its freshness and fruitiness, or after a few years of aging in the bottle, when it will develop more complex and tertiary notes.
