Whiskey Ballindalloch Vintage Release 2015
The Ballindalloch Vintage Release 2015 Whisky marks the distillery's official debut, a Single Estate made with barley grown directly on the estate. Distilled in 2015 and matured in a blend of ex-bourbon (80%) and ex-sherry (20%) casks, this whisky reflects the traditional Speyside style thanks to the use of worm tub condensers. Notes of fresh citrus, vanilla, and wild honey emerge on the nose.
On the palate, the structure is full and smooth, with hints of sweet malt, apricot, and a light oaky spice. The finish is lingering and clean, with a hint of summer fruit. It's excellent after a meal because its natural elegance and malty sweetness offer a refined finish that's not overwhelming, ideal after a light dinner or with a small pastry.
