The Botanist Islay Dry Gin 22 Bruichladdich Distillery
On the island of Islay, Scotland, is the Bruichladdich distillery, where an ancient copper still called "Ugly Betty" is used to distill Botanist gin, one of the purest and most complex. Production is limited to 15,000 bottles and the recipe includes 31 botanicals, 22 of which are native, including juniper.
The gin is clear, not cold-filtered, with notes of sea salt and juniper. On the palate it is dry and refined, with hints of pepper, spice, lemon, pear and a creamy texture.
