Teeling Distillery, founded in Dublin in 2015 by Jack and Stephen Teeling, marked the return of whiskey distilling to the city after more than 125 years. Located in the historic Liberties area, Teeling is known for its innovative approach to Irish whiskey, often experimenting with unique cask finishes and producing award-winning, flavorful expressions. This whiskey challenges the convention of what an Irish whiskey can be, with layers of unique flavor influenced by unconventional barrel maturation techniques. The hand-selected grain and malt whiskey barrels are initially fully aged in Ex-Bourbon barrels, then married together in Central American rum barrels for up to 12 months for a unique nut profile.
