Directly from Niscemi, the European artichoke capital, only the ancient “Nostrum” variety of artichokes is used to produce the Amaro al Articiofo Paesano.
For the production of this Sicilian Artichoke Amaro, only artichoke hearts and stems produced in ethical agriculture are used, which are left to macerate in alcohol for 60 days and then mixed with an infusion of herbs and caramel according to an ancient local recipe.
