Murray McDavid Single Malt Scotch Whisky Linkwood 6yo Murca Tawny Port Cask is a vibrant example of how a short aging period can be enhanced by the highest quality wood. This Speyside single malt enjoyed a final maturation in first-fill barrels from Quinta de Murça, which had previously housed Tawny Port wine.
The distillate maintains the freshness and floral elegance typical of Linkwood, enriched with nuances of summer red fruits, toasted nuts and a subtle woody spice.
On the palate, the texture is silky, with hints of strawberry and plum jam that balance with the malty character. The liveliness of the berries and the vinous sweetness make it excellent at the end of a meal, offering a light yet extremely satisfying farewell.
