Port Charlotte Heavily Peated 10 Year Old Bruichladdich
The Port Charlotte Heavily Peated 10 Year Old Bruichladdich was distilled from barley grown on Islay (Scotland, UK) in 2012.
It is wonderfully balanced, enhancing both the fruity style on the nose as well as the delicate barrel influence on the palate. The peat smoke gently makes its way through the whiskey highlighting the softer, sweeter notes. This 2012 vintage has a freshness and balance that tell the story of the place it belongs to.
On the lips it is soft and sweet, structurally there is a subtle hint of honey that slides on the palate and also of vanilla and milk chocolate.
